A solenoid valve is an electromechanical device that controls the flow of fluid (air, gas, water, oil, etc.) by using an electric current to operate a solenoid coil which opens or closes the valve.
When the solenoid coil is energized, it creates a magnetic field that pulls a plunger or armature, changing the valve position. This movement either allows or blocks the flow of fluid through the valve.
