The ZRA Series by Zeetork is a 100% stainless steel rack-and-pinion pneumatic actuator engineered for durability and precision. It converts energy from pressurized air into rotary motion to automate quarter-turn valves like ball and butterfly types. It is suitable for both on-off and modulating applications.

Actuator Mechanism​

  • Double acting :

Air to port A forces the pistons outwards, causing the pinion to turncounterclockwise while the air is being exhausted from port B. Air toport B forces the pistons inwards, causing the pinion to turn clockwisewhile the air is being exhausted from port A.

Pneumatic Actuator
  • Single acting :

Air to port A forces the pistons outwards, causing the springs tocompress, the pinion turns counterclockwise while air is beingexhausted from port B. Loss of air pressure on port A, the storedenergy in the springs forces the pistons inwards. The pinion turnsclockwise while air is being exhausted from port A.

Temperature ranges depend on seal materials: Standard (NBR) handles -20°C to +80°C, Low Temp (L NBR) supports -35°C to +80°C, and High Temp (Viton) works from -15°C to +150°C. The ZRA Series actuator features high-quality materials for enhanced durability. The body and end caps are made of SS304 or SS316 stainless steel via investment casting.
